The Moves

BACKGROUND: The Moves is a new social media app that encourages college-aged users and young professional to actively engage with their friends in person instead of solely on online. The app help users find out what’s happening around them and incentivizes them to join in by offering rewards to users who arrange their ride and buy their event tickets in the app.
CHALLENGE: Develop a visually appealing, audience-appropriate app interface and brand identity design.
Conduct and apply target market research to effectively design the app logo and user interface
Create a consistent brand image across platforms
Establish a social media following while adapting to increase exposure
RESULTS: Earned a $100K initial investment and $2 million evaluation within three months of beginning project to jumpstart the app’s official launch
Increased social media following by 75% after implementing Weekly Blog announcements and other content strategies
Held beta test/”launch” parties in 2 cities (Austin, TX and St. Louis, MO) with over 300 local beta test sign-ups
